- View results? The results of
a query are returned in the following format (click on the

- View an image? Currently,
JViewer has been integrated into CCDB. This means that when
an image is viewable by JViewer, the link presented to you
will automatically launch the program and display the data.
Please see JViewer's
requirement
info regarding what you will need to use JViewer.
Other visualization tools are also available; see the
Visualization Tools page for a
listing.
- Download data? Data can be
downloaded by clicking on the "Download" button under each
image. Most of these files are large 3D image files and may
take a while to download. The CCDB allows different levels of
access privileges to be set for each data set. In some cases,
the data are freely available; in others, users must contact
the owner of the data to make arrangements for access to the
3D data. The appropriate e-mail address is provided to the
user at the time the download request is made. All data that
is downloaded from the CCDB must be used in accordance with
policies set by the CCDB for data sharing. If data is used
for any other purpose, both the original author and the CCDB
should be acknowledged.
For each type of data available from the CCDB, e.g., volume,
tilt images, segmented objects, all relevant files are bundled
into a tar file so that all necessary files are downloaded
simultaneously. Users who are unable to untar these files
should contact the CCDB
administrator to
make arrangements. We are exploring other options and will
make them available as soon as possible.
Data is currently stored in the formats used most frequently
at NCMIR. In the future,
users will be able to request additional formats but this
function is not currently implemented. Tools which can view
our most common formats are available for download and are
listed in the "Visualization
Tool" page. Requests for a specific format can be
addressed to the
visualization
administrator.
- Enter data? For a
description of how files are managed in the CCDB and how to
prepare files for entry, see this
page.
