The CCDB is still under active development. We
welcome outside users to browse the site and use the database, but
please be advised that this is a pre-alpha version of the software and
that testing is still being performed. We appreciate your patience
and also your willingness to inform us of any errors you may
encounter.
The CCDB is designed to be an informatics resource for structural
biologists interested in 3D cellular structure.
The database is being put into production in stages. As functions are
added, updates will be posted here.
Current Status:
Under construction....
Version 1.2, January 2003:
- The database is now using Oracle 9i.
- Protein localization query can be performed on Optical Section
and Electron Tomography data sets.
- Advanced query of general description information
(e.g. project, anatomical detail, subject) can be performed on all
the available datasets.
- Advanced query of quantitative measurement (e.g. neuron
summary, cell body, axon, dendrite and spine) analyzed by
Neurolucida 4.35C can be performed on optical section
datasets.
- Available datasets for download: ACC1, ALXP, e1cb4a5, e1cb4a1,
e17hpc1a, e1cb3a1, e13hpc1c, pccor10, osaka3, ACC1_2ma, e4cb2a2,
pccor10_dc, e4cb3a1, e1cb3a1_p, e1cb10a2, e1cb10a3, 71202tjd.
- JViewer3.0
can now read and display Synu Viewdata and polygonmesh, triangle
mesh and sphere geometry files.
Version 1.1, June 2002 :
- 10/15/2003: JViewer has been
updated to give surface area measurement info for Synu data files.
- 9/17/2003: CCDB was migrated from development to production
level servers.
- 7/25/2003: Registered Users can submit evaluation and view feedback on
reconstruction images.
- 7/25/2003: Mapped the CCDB to the UMLS/Bonfire ontologies.
- 6/5/2003: Neuronal branching Query to search and compare neuronal
branching pattern is made available.
- 5/7/2003: The CCDB is now tracking access and download activities.
This data is used solely for the purpose of assembling statistics on
usage of the CCDB for annual reports.
- 5/5/2003: Quick download of images and image analysis from SRB is
now available.
- 4/15/2003: A link to cell data in the
Sense Lab
database has been added to the query brief results page.
- The registration and log in features are now active.
- 3D data sets from confocal microscopy are now available for
viewing.
- Neuronal branching structures generated by Neurolucida from
confocal datasets are now available for viewing and downloading.
- Limited 3D data sets from Electron Tomography are now available
for viewing.
- A Neurolucida data viewer
(JViewer) is now working and
integrated into the CCDB.
